Greetings From New Orleans ,
A good friend of mine and a fellow NOBRA Pilot has just sent me a really KOOL video of vintage New Orleans ! In the video , there are some great shots of
ol' New Orleans including her more promenent points of interest . One really nice shot is of the Str. Capital while she was laying at Canal St. There are other shots of the river , the Huey P. Long Bridge , Cafe DuMonde , St. Charles Ave. and of the original New Orleans airport . What is also interesting are the old cars and the way people dressed for that day . If you'd like to see this video go to : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyfoK28r8So
Its really a great video and any historian or river person will certainly appreciate what New Orleans use to be like . To locate the video , type in the SEARCH box , 1940 New Orleans Travelogue , and it will pop up . Hope you enjoy it as much as I did .
Smooth Sailing !

What a magnificent video!! Especially like the close-up of the Capitol. So many goof finds tonight on Youtube. First Travis' find of Doc playing the calliope on the Natchez in the 80's, and now this!!
