Hello everyone.
Here are some pictures I took of the American Queen and Delta Queen during this past year. Some of these pictures were taking during my trips on the M/V Capt Gerald Boggs (AEP towboat).
~AMERICAN QUEEN~

The only way to get a full shot as she departs Point
~DELTA QUEEN~
Delta Queen approaches the Robert C. Byrd locks and dam
I love taking shots looking down at the boats
I saw the wheelhouse door open, and was yelling "blow the whistle" but nothing. 🙂
Delta Queen upbound above Point Pleasant
Chief Mate Roger from the Delta Queen invited me aboard during her last stop in Point Pleasant. Thanks again Roger! This was great to be able to go aboard.

Point Pleasant cityfront from DQ wheelhouse
Delta Queen paddlewheel. Thanks again everyone I talked to and met on the DQ, I really appreciate it.
Delta Queen passing my boat while we were waiting at Lock 52 across from Paducah.
I didn't have a schedule with me on the boat, but I knew the Delta Queen was close.
We topped around to go down and make Lock 52, and I got some cool shots from the wheelhouse on the Boggs.
Thats Steve Pearson our pilot, he does an amazing job handling the boat. Great guy.
We are passing the Delta Queen here above Newburgh Locks and Dam.
My night pictures didn't turn out as good as I had hoped.
Delta Queen with the powerplant Yankeetown, and the lights far left is Newburgh L&D.
I wake up to come on watch at 5:00AM, while eating breakfast in the galley, I turn around look out the window and see none other than the American Queen shoved into the bank across from Paducah facing upbound. I couldn't figure out why, she wasn't waiting for L&D 52, and departed later in the day headed up the Ohio. I guess they were killing time. 🙂 This was a great suprise for me becuase I didn't even know the AQ was coming up the Ohio anymore in 2008.
My last picture of the Delta Queen, for now.
Sorry for the long post.
I have 100s of pictures but I shortened it the best I could. 😀
Hope you enjoy,
Nick
