Hi again !
Getting some deals in the mail, mom and I want so badly to go on the water again.....but I am wondering: is there still a part of MAL that arranges your airfare there and back for a fee? I tried to see if it would be cheaper to just arrange airfare roundtrip through hotwire or expedia and found it might be cheaper if it were still offered through the steamboats. Anyone know anything?
Bex, the last time I received anything from them they were still offering airfare. I am pretty sure that that still holds.
Airline support is tricky with two different points of departure. Southwest does price their fares as one-way fares. Also using milage points might help.
But because of how the boats are done, I would be inclined to encourage booking airfare with MAL. Part of the reason for this is that Expedia or Orbitz or the other discount airfare sites tend to have high charges if your flights need to be changed. This is steamboatin'---sometimes the flight arrangements do need to be changed. If everything was done through MAL, it makes it one-stop shopping for any adjustments or changes.
