Another blessed day on the river.

Pulling up to the church, I saw an AEP towboat heading empty up river. Turned out to be the m/v Jeffrey A. Raike. As I was standing on the church steps, a crew member stepped out on the bridge and waved with both arms and then came the salute with the horn. Seconds later a van from AEP River Operations in Lakin, WV drove by and blew the horn!

As I turned to head back to the office, I was greeted by Dwayne, a homeless fellow here in Pomeroy. "Are you missing a blue flag with a cross and anchor? (Turns out I had just noticed it was missing.) "I found it in the lot next to the church the other day. I've been keeping it for you. I'll bring it by later today."

And the Holy Spirit swept over the face of the waters!
