Greetings From New Orleans ,
It has recently come to my attention that yet another delima is facing the Delta Queen from the standpoint , as to just where will the company be storing and securing the Delta Queen after she makes her arrival in the Crescent City . There is a rather hefty charge for a vessel and I mean any vessel , including the Delta Queen , when it is tied off to and secured to any of the New Orleans city docks . There is a possibility that the DQ will find a resting place either somewhere in the New Orleans , Industrial Canal or possibly somewhere in the river below the city . One other remote possibility is to anchor the DQ somewhere , even in the New Orleans , General Anchorage , where there would only be a nominal charge . Time will tell , but unfortunately , time is also running out for this issue to be resolved as well .
