Got my Waterways Journal today and seen there was an ad for President Casino "Theater Barge" with the Admiral still moored to it. Wondered if anyone knew who bought it and what their plans might be for it.

Apparently boat and barge will be sold separately. No word as to today as what bid, if any, has been accepted for the Admiral. The WJ I get to see has been coming at least a week late recently.
Whwn is the bid deadline for the Barge?

The Admiral was due by the 18th and the theater Barge is due by September 22.
Understand what your saying about the WJ. I'm beginning to think someone reads them along the way before i get them. Latest so far has been 3 weeks. then for the last 3 days i've gotten one a day.

See Old Boat Column for April 20, 2009. In it I pointed out that barge delivery of mail would be faster and more economical than the present system. Today postal matter spends hours and days riding around in trucks looking for computerized sorting locations. Waterways Journals are carried in the bottom stacks farthest from the tailgates.

Thanks Alan. Not complaining about WJ, I know it's the postal service that's at fault.
By the way, when they do come i read the back page first. Love your articles.
