For a change, it looks like the AQ is experiencing a nice uneventful ontime upbound UMR trip. She locked through here last night about 7 and I got to visit briefly with Phil, Annie, and Steve. Phil played a calliope concert for the audience of 3 (the 2 lockmen and me), and many thanks to him for that special edition. She's up in Dubuque now and presumably from there on up the 399 passengers should be seeing some nice fall colors on the river. It was good to see so many passengers on deck - it was between dinner seatings. Here's hoping for the rest of the trip to be colorful and without invocations of NCP...
