August 1 brought us Doc Hawley. Yesterday, August 3, was the natal day of one of our younger friends, Capt. Matt Dow of Lake George and New Orleans Steamboat Company. Today, August 4, is the birthday of our beloved Big E, Capt. Ernest E. Wagner. Three generations of great steamboaters in three days!
