A few West Virginia newspapers announced the passing of Captain Robert Bosworth this weekend. I grew up along the river in the area. My father described him as somewhat of a legend.

I am sorry to hear of Bob Bosworths passing. Indeed he was a legend. I always thought that if someone wanted to successfully start a river operation, they would be well served to take lessons from Bob Bosworth. I believe he could have operated a barge line in the middle of a desert. He truly was a master of the old school.
