Some very dedicated Delta Queen fans, two of whom I know of for sure - Pat Carr and Barb Hameister - and please, folks, add names of any others who were also there - have been working hard behind the scenes and below the decks to find some of the valuable stuff that makes steamboatin' work. I'm referring to bingo equipment, trivia stuff, plus two full boxes of riverlorian material, and the hats for the second line and the boats for the race....

Special thanks to these great gals for locating all this equipment in anticipation of the reunion coming up on November 10!

There is still space if you haven't signed up, and I can tell you that Charlene has arranged for some more surprise visitors....don't miss this rare event! Give Charlene a call today.

Looking forward to seeing you there! Jazzou

Treasure Hunt

Gayle Hindman was with us. All three of us had such fun looking for the Bingo stuff and finding those other treasures, too! And then we could call Charlene and say, "BINGO."

Thanks, Pat! That does not surprise me that Gayle Hindman was there digging around with you. I can picture the three of you going at it. Did you happen to find my electric toothbrush in your explorations?

Thanks Pat, Barb, and Gayle

Those 3 ladies are what made my stay aboard the DQ so special. It was an honor to hear all the stories and the laughs about life on the river. I look forward to running into them again soon.

Thanks, thanks to all of you

I have been thrilled to receive the calls from Pat, Barb, and Gayle over the past week or so as they found their treasures. So thanks to them we will have Bingo with the treasured cards and not new ones, and Tony Martin will have his drums to play in the TL and for the shows in the evening, and we now have dinner chimes and the triangle for our picnic-hoedown on Saturday, Nov. 13! Thanks so much to these ladies and all of the other dedicated river boat travelers who have been helping all along to keep our lovely lady spruced up and lovingly cared for. Now we promise that for four days in November the Delta Queen will feel truly revered as we sing, play, share memories together...thanks again and thanks to Capt, Gabe and Cindy, Jazzou, Bob Schad, Bob Stevens and Tony Martin who will be bringing those old riverboat days back to us! See you all in a few weeks!
