This is a story in the Boston Herald about the Cunard line and their Queens. It begins with the saga of Cunard's first ship, the paddlewheel and sail steamship Britannia. And, of course, her connection to the Port of Boston.

Before Majestic America Line reeked havoc with the Delta Queen boats, both Cunard and The Delta Queen Steamboat Co. had the same marketing plan. Both marketed their vessels as a link to the past with a long and glorious tradition. Also both lines had a past passenger program that provided their return customers with attractive benefits. The difference is Cunard Line adheared to that policy, and Cunard is still operating. Not only that, but in October the second largest Cunarder ever to be built will be christened in Southampton.
