Deb has a question, the answer will really help her with a steamboaty cross stitch design that she is creating.
Does anybody that has cruised or worked the DQ know the words to the toast that the Captain gives the passengers?
I remember bits and pieces, which is a shame, as you would think I would remember completely this nice toast. Isn't the end of it something to do: "...and your heart be as light as the spray from our red paddlewheel"?
Thanks in advance,
Bruno
Hey Bruno and Deb,
I also sent you a private message. Check it out. Here's the toast:
"Here's to you all, (Capt. Gabe puts in a 'y'all' here)
And we want you to know
Our sentiments honest and real;
May your days be as bright
And your hearts be as light
As the spray from our old paddlewheel."
Jazzou,
Perfect! Your a peach...Deb's word's, not mine. It's now printed out and Deb's making oh-ah noises now...
Thanks again,
Bruno and Deb
I actually collected some interesting toasts from passengers when I was aboard but I have to look them up in a journal I have. May try to post later.

A John Hartford toast goes this way:
May your paddlewheel be free of driftwood;
may you never run aground.
May all your winds be tailwinds:
and all your trips be down.
