A while ago I posted a picture of Deb's finished cross stitch of the DQ. It really is lovely and hangs in our den, the room that is slowly turning into our 'river room'. Some people expressed an interest in the pattern, unfortunately when Deb finishes a piece she tosses the pattern and we no longer have it. I absolutely love the piece and I am proud to admit that some of the finished stitches are mine!

Anyways, I don't remember all that were interested in it but the complete pattern is being offered on eBay for a very reasonable price...

I can't cross stitch, even though my grandmother tried to teach me, so I just used the picture Bruno posted and made it my screen saver! Can't ever get enough of "our" DELTA QUEEN!

I've got the pattern, folks. The problem is, it's currently in storage, and I'm about to get on the boat for my three weeks on Saturday, then I'm going to Kansas--plus, that particular box is probably under everything else in the storage unit! Not only do I have the pattern, but I have a copy of Reach Magazine, published around the time that the pattern came out in Cincinnati. The cover of that issue shows the stitching very well--a great help, as the pattern is not in color. Email me at [email protected] to let me know if you want it--I'll see what I can come up with. I have no idea how long it will be before I can come up with it, though!

There is currently another DQ pattern available on EBAY. The seller put three e's in Queen, so type in DELTA QUEEEN CROSS STITCH PATTERN. There are some other steamboaty patterns available too. Use RIVERBOAT CROSS STITCH to view those. Happy bidding!!!

David, congrats my friend.

You know you gotta stitch a little of it... Or a lot of it if that is what floats your boat. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I found it relaxing, exactly the opposite of what I expected...don't tell Deb, our little secret, or she'll have me doing cross stitch models for her store...

I saw a completed one for sale in an antique mall at Madison, Indiana last year. It was a bit dusty and had a price tag of $12 on it. Since my great big collection of "steamboat stuff" is already way out of control I resisted buying it. The antique mall has since closed.
