Floating Restaurant Passes Louisville

The Chattanooga bound floating restaurant complex from upriver passed through the Louisville Harbor Wednesday evening as I was crossing the Second Street Bridge en route home. A big, boxy structure -- looked like a medical office on barges -- being pushed by two towboats, very slowly, as it was windy and they were trying to get shaped up to head down into the Portland Canal.

Hope this isn't possible competition for the Delta Queen Hotel business!

I've heard it is going to Mile 400 on the Tennessee, which would be Stevenson, Ala., whatever might be there. Was the DIANNE NEALE still pushing it?

Sorry Dan, but I was in rush hour traffic on the bridge and couldn't take too long a look!

The next "move" of a restaurant boat, IF it happens, will be the departure from Marietta of the Str. BECKY THATCHER on Wednesday, October 14th. I hope somebody documents this with a camera or two!
