OH, and my mom taught me this french pharse:
Chevrolet Coupe!
Dave, you've got me beat all around. I know two words in Spanish: Fajitas and margaritas!
One word that some from Zinzinnati may recognize: Goetta. Made the old family way & fried correctly with a little Cairo syrup--to at least some with connections to the Fatherland--next best thing to heaven itself.
At least those are the key ones! Now the only word you need to ad to your lis is "mas".
Steamboat Goetta
My Great-uncle, Henry (Henrich) Luckhardt, was born "over the Rhine" and swam in the Erie Canal. He couldn't speak the King's English until he entered the Zinzinnati school system.
My hands were greasy, many a time, when I helped made the Goetta at home or at my Grandmother Edith's. She was a Rice, or Riesse, before her grandparents changed the spelling. I don't know of anyone who makes their own goetta, these days, but Glier's Meats, in Covington, makes about a ton, or so, each; so it's cheaper to pick up at the store than it is to go through all the process and expense of making yourself.
"Feliz Cumpleaños" Alan! Hope you had a good natal day celebration!
Yeah!
We cleaned the attic.
