Hello everyone, I just wanted to check in, I hope ya'll have been having a good summer. So far so good onboard, the vessel, I can't say the name on the thread, is an amazing piece of engineering carrying 70 some millions barrels of LNG, which when it turns back to gas comes out to over 5.7 billion cubic feet of natural gas. Our normal cruising speed is 22 knots, which blows me away being over 1,100 feet long, I won't even mention on here how many tons of fuel we burn.
Other than that, life is good aboard the ship, we are still in lockdown mode because of the pirates around us, but we should be out of this area in a few days.
Mat,
Is she American flagged, and is she diesel?

Frank,
Unlike most LNG ships she isn't actually steam, she's part of a new "experiment" to use diesel engines and a reliquification plant so that they don't have to burn the "boil-off" from the LNG, since it has to stay below -261 degrees to remain a liquid. She has twin Doosan Engines, comes out to over 50,000 HP, and four main diesel generators that produce about 20,000KW.
And no, she's not American flagged, rather she's the Marshall Islands.
What " Ports Of Call " , Does She Visit ??
Matthew ,
Great " Post " and what " Ports Of Call " , does she visit ??
Does she come to the States ??
Smooth Sailing !
