Happy Birthday Shipyard Sam!!! Hope you have a great day.
What a coincidence! It is the same day as Steamboat Bill's and Don's...Happy BD to all of you and we would close the shipyard but Clifford, I hear, was the last one with the key to the gate. Many more you guys! Cap'n Walnut.
Happy Birthday, Shipyard! October birthdays are the best.
Happy Birthday to the skipper of the Sun Fish! "May your wheel be free of driftwood and may you never run aground" as your good friend John used to sing.
All the best!
Aaron
Ditto from down in Vicksburg!
Thanks friends and fellow steamboaters. There are a lot of us born in October. Just do the math and count back nine months. It's just too cold to do anything else in January but get under the covers.
The strains of Happy Birthday are eminating from the distant calliope for all our October birthdays!
Happy Birthday Capt. and Steamboat Mary!
Happy Birthday to you, Don. My whole family celebrated with a ride on the BELLE OF LOUISVILLE! Except for that stickng note on the BELLE's steam pianey, Happy Birthday sounded pretty good today.
Ah, you well-balanced Libras, who work both sides to help the middle! Happy birthdat, Don
Better late? Hope you had a good birthday. At least not as much kicking and screming as the first one.
Happy belated birthday. I was busy celebrating with the BELLE of LOUISVILLE.
Hey Willie, happy belated birthday!
Happy birthday,,, Tom Price
An Old Man ... just like them.
Thanks again, all, for the kind sentiments. Actually, I am not a great b'day celebrationist, myself, but I do give thanks to the Good Lord for allowing me be around (the river) so long; having been born the day before the Admiral of the Ocean-Sea "discovered" the New World.
As John Hartford so aptly put it, "I want to grow up to be an old man just like {them}"... those old-timers we admired so much when we were just starting out, ourselves, on the river.
