A whistle salute and steamy rendition of HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the callyope to affable steamboat buff/organ grinder extraordinaire TED GUILLAUM today!
Thanks, Ted, for your MANY years of friendship, since we first met in 1978 on the DELTA QUEEN while you were Purser. THANKS, also, for ALL you do for the Howard Steamboat Museum. The Chautauqua festival each spring wouldn't be the same without your organ grinding skills filling the grounds with lilting melodies to the delight of all!
Keep UP steam and have a great day in every way!
Yeah, Ted, Can't-ya grind out "da-da-de-da-di-di" on your little box and put our name on it?? Many happy returns of the day from here on Gunpowder Road. Cap'n Walnut and his first mate!
Happy Birthday Ted. Sorry I missed you this fall at Jasper. My mom and sister said they saw you. I had to work. I asked if they went up to you and got my "steamboatin" hug, but they said no. Too bad for them. Also saw your picture in the Midwest Living magazine for last Christmas recently. Enjoy your day.
Felicitous greetings!
On this your natal day! You are one person who can truly say that life is a grind... unwind today!
Thanks
Thanks everyone for the kind birthday wishes. The birthday on Saturday was spent quietly at home but I celebrated on Sunday by attending the Howard Steamboat Museum Christmas Open House. It was a splendid event and was great to visit with so many friends. The mansion was decked out in all its Christmas finery. Dinner at the Kingfish afterwards was especially nice.
