How much longer does JBS have before she starts to look like the Diamond Lady ?
Good Question
The couple of pictures that we have seen the JBS she seems to be pretty well buttoned up for storage. However, anytime ANY vessel sits dormant it is not a good thing. Major systems fail with lack of use. On another note, where is the Diamond Lady? The Belle of Cinncinnati is her sister ship correct? I heard that one of those boats moving to Philidelphia but that was years ago.
I don't know for sure i think she is at McKellar Lake marina, Memphis
DIAMOND LADY
For years she was in McKellar Lake, but I don't think she's there now. Yes, the BELLE OF CINCINNATI was her sister boat, the EMERALD LADY. The DIAMOND LADY ran here in Bettendorf Iowa and the EMERALD LADY alternated between Ft. Madison and Burlington Iowa. There was a third LADY which was made longer and renamed the PARADICE which was in Peoria. I believe several of the current AQ crew worked on her. The boat that went to Philadelphia was the MISSISSIPPI BELLE II, but that lasted less than a year there and is back here at Schadler's dock in Moline for sale.
Mississippi Belle II sold
The Mississippi Belle II was just sold to a Philadelphia firm which plans on renovating it and running her as the Philadelphia Belle.
Mississippi Belle II leaves Sunday : Quad-City Times: Quad Cities, IA/IL
False alarm on MB II
That story about Philly was from 2010. She is sitting at the Schadlers' dock in Moline awaiting purchase by anybody...
Sorry about that
My apologies for the false alarm. Must have been tired when I posted that and didn't catch the old date of the story.
