Our good friends Tom Dunn and Ann Blum are the co-recipients of the James V. Swift Medal. An award that is given to notable authors of distingushed river related literature. The award will be given at the National inland Waterways dinner on March 27 at St. Louis. Congratulations to both.

Congrats to Annie and Tom

It is most fitting that Annie and Tom receive an award named after one of their St. Louis friends, Jimmy Swift. What a coincidence that after a dearth of books on the ADMIRAL, that both of theirs would appear so closely together. Because the ADMIRAL didn't tramp and was based solely in St. Louis, with the exception of her two short stints in New Orleans subbing for the PRESIDENT, this steamboat hasn't gotten the notoriety in river circles as have other vessels. Thanks to Annie and Tom for bringing her story to the public, and in such a quality way as to earn this award.
