Hi guys
I haven't been on this board on months, but now have a question, which was probably brought up a long time ago:
what's the deal with the MAL up for sale?
Is there any news on who might be buying the steamboats?

Bex,

there is no news about this issue. Ambassadors International has announced quite a while ago that they're going to sell all assets of the original Majestic America Line, but no deal has happend so far. The American Queen has been returned to MARAD as well as the Empress of the North. The Delta Queen is being leased to Chattanooga and the Mississippi Queen is still docked down in New Orleans. The Contessa, Queen of the West and Columbia Queen are also being docked somewhere on the Columbia River to my knowledge.

There had been many rumors about potential buyers which I'm not discussing publicly as they are are what they are: rumors. Besides that no information is available at the moment about the progress inthe sales plans of the boats.

Hey Franz,

Last I heard, the AQ was in a fleet anchored near Beaumont, TX. Do we know where the EON is?

Thanks

Oh, man, you know it. There's that great Internet cafe in Sitka with the delicious blueberry muffins.

And Creek St in Ketchikan, where all the jewelry stores and other tourist traps now stand in place of the bordellos that used to be there. I used to warn the pax that Creek St really hasn't changed much. They still do the same thing to you, they just don't use the girls anymore.

Maybe that's why I only lasted one season with AWSC?

Paul
