There is an article in the Post Dispatch regarding the Mississippi Queen departure. Apparently not everyone was told about the virus.
After a 10-day, quarantined scrub-down, the Mississippi Queen riverboat embarked from St. Louis on Wednesday evening for its first cruise since two outbreaks of a virus that sickened more than 200 passengers.

So much for the tramping cruise
Did anyone notice how the tramping cruise isn't really all that random. The intended stops were mentioned in the article. I had always wondered about how random these things were. Sure, it is unpublished to the passengers, but with today's Homeland S-ity "concerns" and the fact that ports must submit HS plans, the idea of pulling up to some rarely-visited river town, on short notice, is unlikely.

The riverboat has planned stops in Chester, Ill., Alton and Hannibal before returning to St. Louis on Nov. 15.
I missed this completely. The crusie is a 7 day cruise, and the paper only listed 3 landings. That leaves open some other days for exploration.
