Usually, we hear from Miss Patsch on her trips to New Orleans. Has anyone heard any news from her lately??
and please forget the title "Mystery Boat". I don't ever see the Creole Queen on the webcam at 1 PM CST, and I got excited, thinking it was something else. lol
I usually hear from her daily. As usual, she's enjoying her southern sojourn very much and is computerless for this trip. When she called yesterday afternoon, our conversation was interrupted several times by the roof bell and whistle of the Str. NATCHEZ, preparing to get underway. The sounds of a living, breathing steamboat were, indeed, BEAUTIFUL! Judy reported another BIG passenger count for that cruise. Hooray!
ahh, thats good to hear. I'm sure it was nice hearing the whistle and bell over the phone, lord knows I would have liked it. Thanks for the update!
Stay tuned Bubba! Judy will have photos and a FULL report to post later this week!
Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to those. Another question. Do you know if she had the chance to record some of Doc's concerts??
Yes, indeed! Judy presented Doc with a "list" and I think he played nearly all of the selections that were requested for recording. Quite a number of former MQ crew members were aboard the NATCHEZ for a "reunion" on Friday night, holding forth in the Magnolia Suite. The NATCHEZ steamed closely by the MQ and threw her searchlights upon the sadly silent and dark boat. Judy reports that a "cheer" went up from the deck from those who hold the MQ near and dear in memory. It was truly a poignant moment of tribute!
Thats SO sad ,,, Thanks Keith for relayin the messages ,,
However it was a Great weekend in Madison,.....
