Hi, all! I hope those of you I rode & worked with for 9 years on the DQ (and AQ early-on) will be happy to know I'm back with the company; I'll be playing on the Empress of the North from Apr. 19-May 16 and Oct. 3-Nov. 1. I've never been on that boat before; any comments?... I hope to see you all there! --Annie Lebeaux
Welcome back, Annie!
I´m sure you´ll have a great time on the Empress. The Paddlewheel Lounge is a great place.

Oh Annie, not the DQ?!?!? We miss you there! I loved the last night when you handed out the "little lambies" and played requests, especially your - how many songs in 2 minutes - I've forgotten? I've even forgotten how many minutes. But it sure was entertaining! I also miss the piano music at dinner.
Great news and a great reason to go aboard those boats 🙂
The scenery is the Pacific Northwest is awesome. Let us know what you think although I think there are more hills when you are in port.
Anyway- enjoy!
Cheers
Elaine
Great to hear from you Annie!
I'd like to suggest that you shy away from them there West Coast boats and gravitate a tad east. Not like Deb and I are selfish or nothin'...I've heard that west coast water isn't even brown...
Picture this, you and your fiddle partner in the Orleans at the Picnic...or...you and Oscar Trivia...or...Beatliope...or...you ad-libing "our" song...or...you and your "party"...
Well, I think you get the picture...You're Missed...a lot.
...Aw, shucks, Bruno! Thanks, & I miss you all too. If I had my way, believe me, I'd be back aboard the DQ... & I'm hoping to come aboard for a visit on a cruise or two this year (I've got my Friends & Family applications in).
Annie, if you could, try for the July 1st or the August 19th DQ cruises...:-). If you could be enticed to "practice" on the Texas spinet, I'm sure you will have a loving audience. There is a few of us FRN's on the July 1st cruise...there is a huge, HUGE FRN group on the August 19th cruise.
You could also try for the mother lode: October 21st DQ cruise, but I don't think there is a stateroom to be had on that cruise...but it would be so COOL, wouldn't it?
Annie, it is so good to hear you will be joining us here on the Empress. I have many fond memories from our time working together on the DQ during the latter part of the previous century... wow, has it been that long?
You will LOVE Alaska, and the transit voyage starting the 28th shoudl be spectacular.
Looking forward to seeing you again...
Keith
Most Memorable Moment at a DQ Picnic Lunch: Annie singing "I've Got Tears in my Ears (from Lyin' on my Back in my Bed While I'm Cryin' Over You)."

Dave--- I've got "tears in my ears" from reading your touching message of your DQ picnic memory! My mom used to sing that to me when I was a little girl when we lived in Weiser, Idaho, a hole-in-the-wall that strangely enough is Patrick Nauman's hometown.
Best Of Luck To You Always..
