Just received a telephone call with the sad news that Jean Roush Stone, widow of the late Capt. Charles Henry Stone, passed away on Sunday, November 11th at the age of 90. Her visitation and funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 17th at the Wilcoxen funeral Home in Point Pleasant with burial in New Lone Oak Cemetery.
Miss Jean was a dear lady to many of us and I extend my condolences to all her family and multitude of friends. For many years she was a member of the choir and served as organist of Trinity United Methodist Church, as well as being active in Eastern Star, Point Pleasant Woman's Club, Sons and Daughters of Pioneer Rivermen and the Point Pleasant River Museum. She and Capt. Charles Henry were married for 66 years at the time of his passing in 2010
Although the news of Miss Jean's passing brings sadness, it is also comforting to know that she and Capt. Charles Henry are together again. All of us who were privileged to know them had our lives enriched from being touched by their love and friendship.
