Has anyone received the June Reflector yet???
Nothing has arrived at the Nashville Dock.
Nothing yet in scenic upstate New York...
MT in RH
Rabbit Hash General Store mail box remains dusty.
Nothing here over the pond yet. But the June 25th issue of the WJ arrived yesterday and the June 18th issue on June 19th! This is a new record for the WJ.

The June 25 issue of the Waterways Journal arrived all over the Ohio Valley on June 25. Heads will roll at the U. S. Postal Service for allowing this to happen.
Good news/bad news
Good news: the Reflector is at the post office. Bad news: the Reflector is at the post office. At least we know its done and will eventually reach our mailboxes!
My copy of the S&D Reflector arrived today.
I got mine July 21. At last, we have something to read in the engine room.
S & D Reflector
We received ours 7/24/07. So much great stuff in there I am still working on digesting all of the outstanding information provided. See you all in Marietta.

Guess the Moon and Stars were in the correct alignment as we received ours Saturday 21 July. Didn't get the grass cut and two plants planted as directed by the management because of it! A porch swing, Prairie Home Companion on the radio, The Reflector and a cold libation;ain't life grand.
The very fine issue of the "Reflector" arrived in Columbus, Indiana - head of navigation of the unnavigable East Fork White River.
Indeed, the June issue of the REFLECTOR is very fine and I know that Capt. David Smith is working diligently to ensure that, with the new production method of the publication, future issues are printed and mailed in a timely manner. As with any kind of "change", there are some "kinks" that must be ironed out. As the old saying goes, "Good things come to those who wait!"
For MANY years, Capt. Fred Way typed each issue of the magazine TWICE, the first time putting in x's to determine the spacing, etc. Then he re-typed it. The magazine began in 1964 as 8 pages and several times was as large as 50+. No high tech word processing in those days! To say that Capt. Fred compiled and edited the magazine as a "labor of love" is truly an understatement!
2007 marks my 40th (good grief!) year as an S&D member and the arrival of the S&D REFLECTOR in my mailbox is always a much anticipated event. When I first began receiving it in 1967 at age 13, there were many times when my school homework suffered because of reading the REFLECTOR!
Many thanks and a whistle salute to David for "taking the wheel" of the magazine. My steamboating mentor, Miss Ruth Ferris, always said that the arrival of the quarterly, with its photos, articles and letters full of river talk from readers was like "catnip" to steamboat enthusiasts. I'm sure we can all look forward to many invigorating issues of the REFLECTOR in the future.
