If the ship sim is anything like the trainz sim that the sane company makes, you will have a ball with it. I have spent endless hours upon hours riding the rails of Trainz 1st edition, Ultimate and now TRS2006. My captain came and stayed a couple days with me before catching the Mississippi Queen ( PT ) and I put him on the rails. He said it was great and will probably have TRS2006 on his computer within the first week he is home.
Auran has about the best sims going on the market. So well that they have developed more expensive programs for actual train companies to train the next generation of engineers.
Enjoy the sim and look into Trainz. While I'm laid up healing my leg from my cycle crash, you can bet that I have made many miles in the cab of my UP AC4400.

Looks great! I look forward to trying this new ship sim, but sadly it does not allow 3rd party add-ons from what I know... so no riverboats. 🙂
I have never played Trainz, but I have tried Microsoft Train Simulator... that was very interesting.
Since we are on the topic of simulators... I figured I would post a new screenshot from the sim add-ons I have been working on.
You will notice in the screen that the MQ doesn't have her stacks. I am currently setting them up so they will retract. 😉 The towboat is modeld after an AEP 5600 hp Dravo boat.

I thought of you when I first came across this. Have you thought of selling yours to a computer software company? I could see a huge potential in what you have.
