Having read Jim Riesing's account of TV advertising of the Delta Queen in the 1970's reminded me that last friday the 31st of August I was watching PBS Wasington in Review. What got my attention was hearing one of the broadcast sponsors is The American Queen Steamboat Company. The company name was read as you viewed the company logo and name. The ad was used in the begining of the program and at the end.
