Vicksburg , After The Flood !

Greetings From Vicksburg ,
Just as Vicksburg survived the War Of Northern Aggression ( The Civil War ) , just kidding , Vicksburg has once again survived an onslaught and siege of a different kind !
For the most part , the spring flood waters of 2011' have now receded and the city on a bluff has for the most part returned to some degree of normalcy ! Having said that , " normalcy " , for Vicksburg standards just may be some what hard to define , describe or interpret for some but to the best of my recollection , Vicksburg looked pretty much the same as I remembered it when we would land on the city river front , on the steamboats , on the Yazoo River all those years ago !
The only difference that is so very obvious to all , are the new and extremely high , still muddy and dark water marks and stains that now adorn the city's flood walls and structures !
For the most part , life now goes on as before the floods in this little sleepy southern town , and hopefully this year's flood will some day just be a bad memory for all !
