Will be on the DQ July 15 trip St. Louis to Nasville, and according to the schedule we spend the last 2 nights in Nashville. Which landing or dock do they generally use - is it the one on the riverfront across from the football stadium?
Yes, that is where she was when I got on her in October 2005 in Nashville. You'll get documents from the company a few weeks ahead that will have a map of each place she boards and disembarks which will give you specific information. If anyone has more recent information than mine, please speak up.
Richard, Jo ann is right, that's where we docked last fall. There is a great Youtube video floating around the net of the boat leaving Nashville, Fall of 2007, with Travis playing the Delta Queen Waltz if this feeble memory serves...if I can find it, I'll add it here by edit. Found it, and I forgot it was shot by our own dot.org poster Ted Guillaum, and it does have the Delta Queen Waltz as the last song. Great stuff, makes me misty...

Richard,
I always found that spot to be one of the coolest on the river. You are right at the foot of Broadway, the main artery. Within walking distance are all the legendary sites to see in Nashville, including the Ryman - literally the Mother Church of Country Music. If you do nothing else in Nashville, tour the Ryman. You can feel the soul and breath of the place.

I was so glad to see that video. My husband and I were the two little figures up by 339 having just barely arrived in time to catch the DQ. Many good memories while we were Alabama Bound.
And Virginia, Deb and I had just vacated 329 earlier, that morning...ours was a great trip, too, down from Cincy...
