A young 19 year old man, Dillon Conner, in Hubertus Wisconsin is trying to raise the last funds he needs ($3,000) to get his steamboat on the water and carrying passengers.
He has a "crowd funding" website which I saw advertised on the Julia Belle Swain website.

What better way to feel a little sense of real accomplishment against our ever present goal of promoting active steamboating. Isn't there an old phrase about money and mouths? : )
Just a small contribution from a lot of us would make a difference for him. He has only received $100 thus far.
