Captain Charlie Lehman's book, A RIVERMAN'S LEXICON In Lehman's Terms is on the market. Anyone and everyone who claims to like the rivers or who works on them needs this book of definitions of river terminology. It is 504 pages of accurate information well-laced with humor, unabashed puns, poetry, illustrations, derivations and opinion. Nothing like it has ever been published. It belongs in every fan's library, in every pilothouse, in possession of every riverman from deckhand to owner and in libraries and law offices across the land. He is offering a grand-opening discount of $24.95 (plus $4.95 postage) until late January. After that the price will be $29.95 (plus postage), which is still a bargain.

Ah, we've been waiting a long time for this book to publish. Glad to hear it is available now. Barbara did the initial copy editing and syntax checking for Charlie a couple of years ago. Since then I would guess the book has increased in size another 50% before publishing. It's definitely a "must have" resource book!

Lehman's Lexicon
Back when Midwest Buffs met in Paducah, Capt. Charlie was talking about working on this book. The information will be good, but Capt. Charlie's comments will make it great.
