As most of you know, I was laid off in July, after 12 years--and within 3 years of retirement. I was the Museum Curator and Performing Arts Center manager, and the Museum Docents gave me a Thank You gift. It's a cross stitch of the Delta Queen that one of the Docents did years ago, and she remembered me liking it hanging in her home (she & her husband have been on many Steamboatin' trips--I think even the inaugural trip if the MQ.). They had ti custom framed, and I thought I'd share a picture of it. Hard to get a good shot with reflections from the glass though!8985.jpg

A nice gesture

That was very nice of them, especially to give up something one of them made and owned. I don't suppose you'll be able to make room to display it though???

Judy,
You must know my house! I took down a print of the DQ by Elaine Speed Neeley to make space for this one! It's right by the porch door & I go by it every day, many times.
I'll have more space once I finish the living room. I have framed prints in storage still! (not all steamboats, some steam trains!)
S'
