It's hard to believe it has been fifteen years today since the Steamer American Queen departed Memphis, Tennessee for the first time upbound towards Cincinnati. It was a shake down cruise with invited guests only and I was traveling with Frank Prudent. Captain John Davitt was the Master Captain, Captain Robbert Powell and Captain Clifford West were the pilots.
