This story is a couple of weeks old but I didn't see any postings about it recently. Does anyone know the status of the Admiral? Did she go to the scrapyard yet?

As of yesterday evening, she was still moored alongside the blue barge at the Pinnacle casino site. I had heard that there were 2 issues - the river level at St. Louis has to be low enough to get the boat under the McKinley Bridge and the Alton pool level has to be high enough to accomodate her. These conditions must be must be unusual, I'm assuming, since she had the Texas deck removed almost a month ago. I will be going down there later today and will update as soon as I can.

Pcitures of WA State Ferry Kalakala
Take a look, the Admiral and the Kalakala look a great deal alike. The Kalakala is in Port Angeles hanging on for dear life. It is privately owned and seems like it is headed from the same fate as the Admiral.
