It's with a heavy heart that I post this update. As some of you may know, the showboat was moved to help relieve pressure from it listing on the river. We moved it so it will be on a flat area when the water came down. We had professionals there during the move and they ran the operation. The move went fine, it was the river drop that managed to cause trouble. The Goldenrod's hull has buckled on both sides of the vessel. We have looked at it a lot today, taking many photos and spending a lot of time at the showboat. The damage is evident when walking though the front doors already. The Board of Directors have been called to an emergency meeting set for Tuesday night. We will be discussing the damage and if it will be possible to move forward. Please keep us in your thoughts and if you happen to have any help or expertise, please let us know. We need all of the support we can get.
I attached a couple photos. Ill find the ones of the port side and post them as well.

Sorry to hear about the damage. First queston: Is it still watertight? If yes, then at least you have dodged that bullet. I would hire a marine surveyor to take a look and give a general condition opinion. Need more photos down the length of the gunnels showing the amount of buckling and in which direction (hogged upward at the buckle? or did the bow get caught out, and get lifted up? can't tell from these photos). If it's still structurally sound and watertight, then you might be ok, as long as it doesn't happen again. But I would get expert advice from a surveyor. I wish you good luck, in any case..
The damage is on the sides. It is still watertight as of yesterday but for how long is anyone's guess. I posted a couple of photos of the damage. The port side has buckled out in a v shape which extends under the waterline. These buckles are not across from one and the other either. This all happened within hours of each other.
