The Goldenrod Showboat, a National Historic Landmark, is returning to a "front row seat" in our St. Louis community again in 2010! The Historic Riverboat Restoration Association, founded by St. Louis Globe Democrat owner and publisher-Steve DeBellis-is dedicated to restoring this unique showboat to its original state and functionality. They are determined to return this "one-of-a-kind" floating theatre to its full operating potential and open the Goldenrod Showboat doors once again for our generation and future generations to enjoy.
"HELP us save the boat!" says Mr. DeBellis. "We can't do it alone and your donations are greatly appreciated. You can be a part of saving and restoring a National Historic Landmark and unique treasure for the world. These chances don't come too often....we'd better take hold of the moment."
It's your chance to be a part of this wonderful project. Please attend our first Fund Raiser on October 17th at the Lemp Mansion between the hours of 1:00p.m. and 5:00p.m.. Food, drink, entertainment and a short presentation will be held as you mix with so many people that want to see this effort succeed.
