To all my steamboating family, a Happy Thanksgiving. I am grateful to know you--whether I have met you on the boats, on the landings, or on the board. I am thankful for your unflagging support during this difficult fight; for all you have taught me, and continue to teach me; for your sense of humor; and for those of you who have been through this before, your sense of perspective. I have been blessed to know you river people, and to call you friends. May those of you who are with family on this holiday have a warm and peaceful day. To those of you out on our rivers, doing what you do so well, know that my heart is with you. Steamboat Mary

Happy Thanksgiving back at 'cha. Deb and I also truly grateful to all in the River community that have enhanced our lives, become true friends, especially our favorite Discovery Guide (and Deb's muttering under her breath...she's a Riverlorian, dammit...it's just so stupid!)
Mary, my dear friend, you asked about Google...Think Denis and the picture of some floozy on the DQ bench in the engine room...Makes me smile, the look on your face! A perfect O from your mouth.
Deb and I send our sincere love, and we hope this little setback gets resolved real soon...See you and everybody else that means so much to us on the rivers in 2009.

A Very Happy Thanksgiving to you three too! And to all our Steamboatin' friends too. It took me 37 years to find y'all but it was worth the wait!
Now don't over-over eat tomorrow!
