I have googled and looked in all the news that mentions her, yet no one has said why she sank. Does anyone have any info? I saw a person who was video recording her sinking but he has yet to post anything around her salvage.

Why did becky thatcher sink?
Post-gazette reported our record snow in early february caused failure of roof structure.
Owner quoted as saying he had someone drive by once a week.
My father maintained that any sign/structure along a road would sooner or later get hit by a passing car.....my take is anything put in the water without being attended will sink (neglect).
Why did it sink?? As captain whitey morris once said, "water in the hull."

I guess she is no longer news worthy.
From everything I have found around this topic is that she sank and bye bye. End of story.
