J.H. pilot house

These are the last photos for now. The pilot house is finished and set aside for now. It may be hard to see but inside the pilot house is a pot belly stove, the ship's wheel and two benches. Over and out.

Chris, looks like you're off to a good start. What scale is she built to?

John:
The J.H. is being built on a 1:64 scale, or 3/16" equals 1'. This scale has more challenges but will take up less room - which with my past completed ships is definitely a consideration. The wife just groans and keeps asking "What are you going to do with them?". I'm sure I will eventually find an answer - but no rush. As expressed by a fellow modeller,"If you have to rush, it's no longer a hobby".

Chris thanks for your photos.

I'm not a modeler, at least not to the degree that you and many others are. I do mostly digital modeling and hook up with others who have the skills that I haven't developed. My satisfaction comes from putting the team together and in seeing the end result of the team's effort.

Like John said it looks like you are well on your way.

Keep posting!

After communication with Franz, I will continue my build update in the 'Pictures & Albums' section of this site. This area allows 10 photos per post with a maximum 100 pictures - more than enough for most any build. I will use this forum to advise of any updates.
Your digital modeling sounds interesting. How exactly does it work? A few of some fellow tall ship modelers are beginnig to use CAD to generate prints for ship model construction. Beyond my skill level but still interesting. Is what you are doing similar and how exctly does it work and how is it used?
I don't want to tie up space on this forum for unrelated subject matter, so if you want to answer away from this site, let me know and I will give you my e-mail address.
