Good afternoon all,
Just thought I would share this promising news about the Str. JULIA BELLE SWAIN. Not that I know much...but, the news casters in La Crosse are passing this along.

If she is starting to attract interest...then only good things can come of it!
JBS at the landing
I received some pictures of her at the landing, and one showed Lee and Kathy Havlik aboard - if those two are involved in her reincarnation, she is in good hands! One of the most positive aspects of this effort is that river people are involved in it, most notably Eric Dykman, longtime JBS captain.
Best news I have heard lately about the JBS
Sure is good to hear that the Grand Lady is on her way to a reincarnated life back on the Ole Mississip. I sure look forward to being on her deck if she cruises again in 14 since it has been over 40 years since I first stepped on her deck. Would have loved to see her return to LeClaire or Peoria but alas she is going to run again. She is a living tribute to Cap'n Denny.
Excellent news!
I'm very happy to hear this, as I'm sure many of us are! She spent the summer of '75 at my hometown, Evansville. I got one trip on her, and it was memorable. Yes, Cap'n Denny would be proud.
