Those dot-orgers who like steamboat paintings should tune in on Marion Sue Bradford Thompson | World Class Steamboat, Landscape and Oriental from Missisippi River Delta to see this lady's works. They rank with Harlan Hubbard's paintings for expressing the "feel" and the joys of river life. She painted far, far more than river subjects including a portrait of Al Hirt, an old-time black lady vendor, a lakeside baptism, woods, creeks, and on and on. They are for sale by her son. Whether or not you buy, you owe it to yourself to see them.

Indeed, Sue Bradford certainly had the ability to express that "river feeling" in her artwork. Although the attached photo by no means does the work justice, here is the painting of the Str. MISSISSIPPI, done by Sue in 1969, that she presented to me in 1999. Sue was a generous and true southern lady!
