Back when the MQ was being dismantled, somebody brought up the question about what was going to happen to the Mermaids? I'm just wondering now where exactly did they go? Does anybody know?
You can see them during the steamboat season upriver of Jeffboat when you cruise on the Belle of Louisville.
George Burch bought them and nicely renovated them.

Mermaid thread
Jeff here is George's thread on the mermaid restoration. They are very obvious when passing on the BELLE, and usually get a whistle salute from her.

The girls were a little late getting out this year but made it in time for the Great Steamboat Race, Belle of Louisville Vs the Cincinnati. They will be out in their place in the sun until early October, look them up at Ohio MM601.
Thanks George! Great job with the restoration and glad they will be out sunning themselves on the riverbank this summer.
