The Mississippi Queen will be docked in Davenport on Saturday and will head across the river to L&D 15 at 1, if all goes as scheduled. The lock is directly across the river from the Oneida St. landing, so she should make her webcam appearance around 1:15, 1:30. That's the previously noted Corps webcam. Hopefully the person operating the camera will train it upriver to catch the entrance. The MQ will be moving from right to left on your screen, downriver. I unfortunately will only be at her early morning arrival, as I've got another day at the PGA tournament to work...

That's a good shot on the upbound in our lock. I'm standing just out of the picture, just past the end of the stage. Today I wasn't at the lock or landing since I was working our PGA tournament. In fact, as the MQ should have been appearing on the webcam, I was on national TV, ABC, holding my Quiet sign as a golfer teed off. I'd rather have been hanging around the boat though. Today of all days she didn't land at 5AM, rather at 8, so I had to hang the bag of cookies at the landing and hope they didn't melt before they arrived. Hopefully Homeland Security didn't think it was a bomb!!!! Next MQ UMR foray is late September... no DQ this year.
