I remember reading about the auction of her items. I was wondering what became of the calliope and other items sold. Who bought them and what is their future?

Ed,
I posted the information I had on the auction back in November. To my knowledge the auction never happened. Capt. Ted Davisson mentions in a subsequent posting there is a possibility there is a lein against the vessel from Boland Marine. If this is the case, perhaps the auction was thwarted because the owner did not have authority to sell. The calliope, whistle, and most her interior fittings are removed and have been for quite some time. My informant down there says ever day the situation gets bleaker. Lets all say a prayer she and the JULIA BELLE SWAIN have a future...cause it doesn't look good for either of them!

I didn't think the auction happened due to was unable to find any info other than yours. I am glad there are people near her to keep an eye and ear to the continuing battle for her survival.
