At this point, the standard response to these many announcements is "Really?". And maybe that is what is called for in this instance too.

But I take heart in the fact that the rumors, reports and smoke signals on this and other related subjects have spiked in the past couple of months. So, sumpin's up somewhere.

AQ Sale

John Waggoner and HMS released a very similar document in 2008 when they "bought" the CAPE MAY LIGHT and CAPE COD LIGHT. They never "arranged" their financing for those two boats and I seriously doubt they will for the AQ either.

It is interesting to note this is not who all the steamboaters were told was buying the boat while aboard the DQ in April. There was a BIG announcement that someone else (Jeffrey Krida) was buying her and the MQ. They were to operate them out of Memphis, TN for a company called The Great River Steamboat Company. I think we all know now the MQ ain't going anywhere as the MQ ever again. However, we may buy her steel again as Chinese-sourced automobile parts.

So, like Paul and about everyone else on these boards, I will believe it when the paddle wheel is turning again and they are getting ready to land somewhere! Then it will be real!
