In Sept. of 1862 the above steamboat carried one of my g g grandfathers from a POW camp on Johnson's Island in Ohio to Vicksburg, MS. It would be great to find a photo and history of this steamship, which so far has eluded me. If someone could help direct me to such a photo it would be greatly appreciated. Way's Packet Directory has been mentioned as a source if anyone might have this readily available.
Thanks in advance for any possible assistance,
Dave Dunmar

for a photo try the Cincinnati Public Library Special Collection or the Murry library at the Univ. of Wisconsin La Cross.
