If any of you have a Way's directory, I would appreciate information that you could look up about a steamboat named "Western" that reportedly sank on the Wabash River in 1849. The only other info I have is that it happened on Horseshoe Bend, but there is more than one bend by that name on the Wabash.

Here it is Jerry: #5751 WESTERN sidewheel packet wood hull built Wheeling WVA 1845. 116 tons Struck and caused loss of MONEDO on the Cumberland River in 1847. Snagged and lost in Wabash River at 'the horseshoe' in January 1849 loaded with flour, whiskey, pork, and bacon.
