Hey all,

Had a great afternoon with David Morecraft, Capt. Mat Stage, Deckhand and Calliopist Par Excellence Matt Dow riding on the Pride of the City of Louisville, the Steamer BELLE OF LOUISVILLE. We are planning a repeat tomorrow afternoon for any and all who like to join us for a little steamboat time. The boat boards from 1:30 to 2pm and cruises from 2-4pm.

Here is a little preview of what you will enjoy aboard!

Hope to see many steamboat fans tomorrow on the river!

Travis, thats a nice video of the wheel in action. For an interesting variation, center your camera lens on the crank pin and follow it around with the camera. I did that way back in the late 60s or early 70s with my super-8 movie camera. Has that white triangular steel plate behnid the forward brace always been there? It may not have been when I shot my movies way back when.

Sorry I couldn't make it. Some of us Rambling River Rats were in other parts riding on boats. I'm planning on riding again soon though.
