Good news from Portland, OR: the Str. PORTLAND eventually has received a COI from the US Coast Guard as a passenger-carrying vessel. In the past, the steamboat has been operating day excursions on basis of individual, one-day permits. The Certificate of Inspection has to be renewed every year, but gives the PORTLAND much mur flexibility for revenue excursion trips to fund the museum etc.
